I just brought a new 2024 Ford Expidition. Will be selling my 2023 Chev Tahoe with 6.2 engine with 21,113 miles as soon as the new engine gets installed. Told another 3 months, I sure hope Ford treats us better then GM. Long story,
Brought the truck to pull my 2023 Rockwood Mini and I did get the HD pulling package, Any advise on breakiing it in not counting the 1000 mile stuff?

Well, just don't read anymore of the posts on this forum then. Seriously, I have picked up some pieces of advice on here, but most of it is disappointing. At least for the Gen3 and newer models. The older generations owners seem, to love their vehicles and drive them forever. FYI, I am a FTFO (first time Ford owner) and have only driven mine about 2500 miles since I bought it, and after reading everything on here.... yikes.

PS, I am South Denver so maybe we can share any positive experiences with dealers in the area.

Cheers.

A different perspective:

I swore off GM after my 1993 S10 Blazer crank shaft bearings froze up at 33k miles, and a multitude of things that went wrong with it prior to 33K miles.

I just hope to have gotten luck with my EXPY, only time will tell.

If I were here, you would know it !
Howdy, yo, supppp ?

Welcome & congrats on the new ride, I hope it serves you well for a long time....

Yes, the 4th Gen's have their fair share of quirks, issues, and odd behaviors, but overall, they are solid vehicles.

A lot depends on how they were driven & maintained from day 1, as well as certain batches seemingly being assembled more carefully than others...

But FYI, My brother & SIL bought 2x brand new '24 Max's last fall, and have put over 60K miles on each one, neveranottaproblemo, just normal/routine maintenance like oil & filter changes, rotate/balance, alignments etc.... about the only issue they had was the OEM tires, which were Kookers, and "rode like cow poo on a dragon's ass" (their words), so they worked out a deal with their dealer to replace them at ~500 miles with Michelin Defenders at no cost, they just had to pay about $200 for the labor...:D
