Have 2010 with no AC. Last year checked with manifold gauges and was good pressures. Drew system down and refilled and AC worked. Let vehicle sit for a while(couple months) and no AC again. Pressures still look good but no compressor.

With engine off, spin the AC clutch by hand. Can you feel the resistance change as you spin? If you can, this is a compression cycle. If you can’t, compressor is toast.

I took my 2014 Expedition to my favorite AC shop, tech quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad electrical connector at the compressor. He soldered in another one and has been working great since.
