Sorry didn't know. We get so many here that pump us for info, then end up taking to a mechanic before even trying. If that small push on wire is getting voltage when you turn key to start, your ignition switch is good. Next step is to check solenoid on firewall itself. Their are test procedures online. You will need a basic volt/ohmmeter to do test. Are their any cracks on solenoid? Hope it warms up for you. Don't know how you guys live in that cold.

1) This is the first time you have stated anything about testing the wire.

2) You need to measure voltage on that wire, not current which is amps.

3) Also measure the battery voltage on the battery posts.
