Good Morning everyone, my first post here and glad I found this site.
I have a 2002 expedition 4X4 that I bought new and now has about 206,000 miles.
My problem lately is it does not start when it gets real cold. I live in Tennesee and its been really cold lately.
It cranks real good but no start. when I turn the key to on I don't hear the fuel pump running. I have replaced the fuel pump relay
but no change. I towed into garage where it is warm and left until next morning and it started right up. I was told probably fuel pump.
my next try will be to leave outside again and when it doesn't start to bang on fuel tank to see if fuel pump is maybe stuck.
What do you all think? thanks

Thank you, never thought about water in filter. I tried banging on tank around pump but that didn’t help. It is original pump, will have to check pressure

I had a similar issue with my V10 Excursion. At about -4F, it would crank all day, but not fire. I had narrowed my issue down to the Mass Air Flow Sensor being cold. One morning when it didn't start, disconnected the air filter and used a small propane torch to put some heat down the air intake. Started right up. I haven't had any cold days like that since I replaced the sensor to see if the problem is solved or if it persists. Good Luck.

thank you all for your comments. it has been much warmer here lately so has been starting like it should. More cold weather is coming this weekend so will try it then. Seems like it has to be in the 20s or below.
