Paint code question

Hi,

I was rear ended with damage to the silver bumper trim and tow hitch cover (2022 XLT Max)

Unfortunately neither the dealer or body shop can identify the paint code.

Is there anyone here who may have that knowledge?

All I have found is "paint to match" which isn't ideal

Found this information on another site. Hope it helps...

• Ford, Lincoln and Mercury owners, try calling Ford Motor Company at 1-800-392-3673. With your VIN number, they should be able to tell you what the color code of your vehicle is. By the way, they will only talk to the registered owner of the vehicle.​

Called the number and they told me the paint code of the vehicle. Couldn't understand I just wanted the code for the silver rear bumper area. Why is this so difficult?

As I posted in another thread you need to find a paint supplier with a color scanner to computer match the color , if you need a new cover painted the cover lists for 114$ with paint and labor your looking at 250$ and up to replace it.
