Can anyone recommend a suitable spray paint (can) that would hold up on the valve covers on a 5.4 Triton? I see there is 'high heat' paint for temps up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not sure the valve covers get that hot. The paint seems to be a pain to cure. The instructions talk about baking the parts in the oven, several time with cooling in between bakes.

I guess what I really need to know is if the valve covers exceed 500 degrees Fahrenheit since there is other paint for that temp limit.

Thanks.

I did not use any type of high heat, just really really cleaned them and used prep spray. No problems yet, and I live in Southern California where it’s like 100 every day.E6C0B03E-9F0F-44D9-8719-0546C07079E3.jpeg
