Parking brake adjustment

2017 Expedition Limited. My parking brake doesn’t hold well on a moderate slope. Took it to my mechanic and he looked underneath for a way to adjust it and didn’t find anything. Suggested today he remove the wheels and see if there is something in the drum to adjust. Any advice is appreciated.

There is a rubber plug on the inside bottom of the rear breaks. Thats the access port for adjusting the parking brake without removing anything.
