When getting in the Expedition, I grab the driver's door handle and the driver's door unlocks. When passengers grab either back do, it unlocks the rest of the locks.
Here's the issue: When a passenger grabs the front passenger door handle, nothing happens. Is there is an issue with the sensor, or should I look elsewhere?

How old is your battery? It's time for a new batter if you experience weird issues with door sensors.

Not sure about yours but here’s something I notice on mine occasionally and how I fix it.

When the battery starts getting low the expedition starts turning systems off to conserve energy. One of the first I notice is the proximity unlock on the door handles. The three passenger doors stop working.

Usually when the battery is more charged they start working again by themselves.

However, occasionally they don’t. I have to go into the option on the driver dash and disable, then reenable, the proximity unlock. That fixes it.

Might be worth a try.

Ok I have a theory I’m going to throw out here and it’s because I have four kids LOL. I think the Expy (mine’s a 22) has a theft deterrent that keeps the driver from being able to unlock the door if someone is grabbing the passenger side. I have noticed over and over that it takes multiple grabs at the driver side to unlock when my wife or kids have their hand on there. Now that they know to keep their hands off until it’s unlocked it works every time.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but I’ve observed this repeatedly.
