Pickup owners: do you prefer towing with Expy or pickup?

Then a 2018 XLT MAX Expedition, now a 2020 XLT MAX Expedition towing 2000-3000 pound former USA trailer (replaced the axle and wheels - trailer alone is 800-ish), back and forth from MD to Atlanta (700 miles) at least 10-12 times. Ride very stable even at 80 MPH. Best MPG, 11-12, at highest speeds, 70-80 MPH. All interstates, but LOTS of hills. Backing is a *****. Wish I could get better MPG but the world isn't perfect.
