Radio Turns On Randomly – Even With No Keys!

I have a 2018 and I’ve been dealing with a weird issue lately. The radio will randomly turn on by itself — even when the car is completely off and no keys are in or near the vehicle.

I took it to the dealership and they replaced the BCM (Body Control Module), but that didn’t fix the problem. The issue is still happening, and now I’m worried this is going to kill the battery if it keeps turning on like this.

Anyone else experience something like this? Any ideas on what could be causing it?

Make sure your Sync3 is updated to the latest, then perform a hard or factory reset and see if that helps.

Search for Sync 3 updater, and get Sync up to date like was said above. Most likely the APIM not the BCM is where the issue is.

Our radio turns on by itself when driving sometimes but never when parked. That would be worrisome for the battery.
