I'm skeptical of claims of torque + horsepower gains on modern normally aspirated engines like the 5.4 V8 I have in my 2010 expedition.
Say i'm willing to spend up to 1k on parts and up to 10 hours labor (i'm doing it myself but I don't want to spend more than a weekend dealing w it). Everything on the table.. tune, pulleys, headers, intake... gotta run on 87 octane with no highway mpg reduction.
Can I get a legitimate HP+ torque increase, and are there any independent tests available?
