Rear view camera recall - now the parking aid lines don't appear

Just got my camera replaced under recall - 2015 Expedition EL

Got it home, backed it in to the garage and noticed the red/yellow/green lines that used to appear to help guide/park are no longer appearing. Went to settings and tried every permutation of Off/On for the two settings allowed and no dice.

Anyone have the same issue and any solution? Going to call dealer tomorrow and see what they say.

Same here. My camera was swapped two weeks ago on my 2021, and I've assumed the missing colored lines and new vertical gray lines are due to camera differences. I've not found a setting that offers a way to restore the curvy red/yellow/green. Also, for me, the plus button no longer magnifies as it did with the original camera.

On the plus side, this new camera does not randomly dim as the original did.

I had the same problem. I had to take it to the dealer and have them recalibrate the camera then the lines returned and it worked as before it went out.

Does the recall replacement camera have better picture quality than the orginal one?

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the magnifier stopped working as well. The picture quality IS a lot better.

My recall notice said they didn't have a fix yet ..... haven't received a notice it is now available.
Not too worried about the lines but want the magnifier for when hooking up trailers.
My camera only works 30% of the time at best so anything will be better.

Became interested in using the lines after seeing them on my coworker’s 2016 F-250. So, on my 2016 EL I did not have the lines. Nor could I find an option that would turn them on. Assumed it wasn’t available on my vehicle.

UPDATE - called dealership twice no answer. Sent 2 emails to my service advisor. No answer. Emailed Service Manager directly telling him the problem. Within 1 hour got a call from the service advisor telling me to bring it in for update - apparently they didn't realize this was an issue. So make sure when you bring it in for the new camera to tell them they need to re-calibrate it to include the lines and zoom function. 30 minutes after I took it in all we working perfectly.
