Is there a trick to getting the rear wiper blade off the arm?
There is a rain x on it now.
Thanks

Instructions on how to remove the rear wiper blade were contained in the owner’s manual for my 2015 Expediton.

You didn’t list the year of your vehicle - have you checked the manual?

On my '011, you have to pull the arm up off the glass as far as possible, then move the blade towards the glass until it's almost 90 degrees, and push down on the arm (and maybe wiggle it a bit) until it un-snaps...

To install the new one, line up the connector slot with the corresponding pin on the arm and push it onto the arm. Then release the arm back to it's normal position against the glass, and give it a firm but gentle tap with your hand to ensure that it is fully locked on the arm...

HOWEVER, do NOT attempt this when the temps are below 45 or so, or with a hammer.... my friend made that mistake on his '12 Limited and shattered the glass... and yea, it was EXPENSIVE to get it replaced ($900)

I got it off but the replacement rain x does not fit. The tiny rod it too big for it to snap in.
Back to o orielys.
Thanks all.

I have found that the OEM Motorcraft rear wiper blade is the only one that fits properly.
Well, the 3rd party ones I got from da Zon fit perfectly, so maybe on the OP's it's a little different ?

Well that was probably your first mistake....

A few years ago when an OR's opened close to me, I said "great, now I don't have drive 30 miles just to deal with those attitudinal buttheads at Advanced any more"

However, the 1st 8 assorted parts I got there were either the wrong size, type or both, and then they gave me an attitude about returning/exchanging them (and yes, I had the receipt & original packaging)....

Fortunately, since then, a NAPA store opened even closer, so I've been going there ever since, and have not had a single issue with any parts I got there...they even replaced a bad battery of theirs free of charge, when the warranty clearly said that all replacements would be a "prorated" exchange :D

Being a cheapskate, I actually replaced just the blade on my 2011 Navigator.

This was the first time in my life I swallowed my pride and asked the autozone guys to help me with my wipers hahaha

The replacement part was really unintuitive and I wouldn’t have chosen it without their help. I wish I knew what exactly the product was but I dont remember. You might have to go eat a slice of humble pie and do the same!
