So instead of repairing the cause (bad transmission) the put out a bandaid repair for one of the symptoms..I believe this recall involves reprogramming the PCM to prevent the transmission from unexpectedly downshifting to first gear (from a much higher gear), while the vehicle is being driving at higher speeds (potentially causing the rear wheels to lock-up and throw the vehicle into a skid).

Understood and thank you for the info.I have no control over Ford’s safety recalls - I was just trying to provide information.
Ford CEO Farley stated several years ago he was going to get a handle on the massive number of safety recalls and warranty repairs costs. I don’t think he has.
Not likely. Your link is to a TSB and it is for determining whether to replace the CDF clutch sleeve, and 24E13 is an actual Recall to reprogram a module.
I’m sure a lot of people would LOVE for this to turn into a recall. Me included.
Is this 100% to happen? Will they make an announcement or release a bulletin?Anyone know what this concerns? Saw this pop up this morning on the FordPass app. 2020 Expedition Platinum.

Probably not...Saw Ford document, this software update is to prevent a false error code indicating low functioning catalytic converter. Local Ford dealer just came to home with mobile service to update PCM software.
Now a wonder if the $ $1500 I paid to replace my bank 1 catalytic converter about 2 years ago (at 88k miles) was really needed.
