Hi! new to the forum. Just purchased new 2020 Fx4 XLT dark Grey with black interior. The Wife and i prefer the Factory (plain matte) finish vs. a greasy Armour All look.

Not driving much but now a few months in, I can see very light discoloration on the door panel black trim - especially where the door handle is. I assume this is oil from our fingers and hands.

Does anyone have a product recommendation good for maintaining a matte finish but cleaning this plastic or faux leather on the interior Doors and Dash?

    Hey Bo,
I'm a big fan of the Griot's Garage Interior detailer. Seems to almost have a suds to it when you start wiping it off and is very effective at cleaning dust, dirt scuffs and light oil from hands/fingers. Also leaves no residue (shiny or otherwise). I haven't used on the seats or carpet but know some people that do.

Pretty reasonable price wise, and even 22 oz size lasts quite a while.

thank you Jimmer ! I literally gave up on anyone answering this and read some other reviews around on the web and ordered CarGuys Super Cleaner off amazon yesterday. I may get some Griots also and see which one works best. I def see some finger and hand oil in the door jams with this new black interior. I'll post back here if I come to any real conclusions - thanks again for your response.

Chemical Guys G6 looks great on black/gray panels. Its water based and not greasy like armor all. The shine can be manipulated depending in how it is applied and finished. I like the look of a sponge and wiping it on, or a microfiber you've sprayed, the latter tends to eat up a lot more product though due to the absorbency. Let it dry a bit and buff w a clean microfiber and it'll take on a nice satin finish.

303 Aerospace is another good one, similar attributes on application can change its finished look with a light toweling. Its slightly more "slick" but nothing like armor all.

I've used both for years in and out of the shop with great results, both go a long way and have good UV protection.
