I'm looking to get some feedback from those who have remote start on their vehicle. I saw on Ford Authority that the new 2025s will not have remote start on the key fob for early models. Just wondering how many of you utilize the key fob over the app to start their car? Part of me is bummed that the option is there at the start but I'm interested in what other's takes are.

On my 2024 Limited, I've used it a couple of times just to prove to myself that it works, but I don't use it on a regular basis.

Even on cold or hot days, I'm not the sort of person who wants to start their vehicle ahead of time so the interior warms up or cools down. The interior will warm up or cool down much faster if the vehicle is moving than if it's sitting still. Maybe in really cold or hot conditions, I might feel differently.

They tell me I'm in PA, but I have my doubts...
It's da FOB I tellz ya, da FOB...

I have it, so I use it, and I love it (apps don't exist for my classic model) :)

But to clarify, I mostly use it in the winter, so I don't have to get into a cold-assed truck when it's below zero outside and wait for the windshield to de-ice/defrost... however, our summers here aren't so hot that I can't wait 3-4 mins for the AC to cool it down :)

I use the FOB daily (never used the app). I like to start the car as I lock up the house. I jump in and go. This gives the fluids 30 sec to circulate.

I get in the vehicle and start it. Usually, this is a cold start after sitting for more than 12 hours. Upon starting, the engine speed usually goes up to around 1200 rpm. I wait for it to come down to 800-900 rpm which usually takes less than a minute. I figure its ready to go at that point. If it's been really cold, I'll wait another minute or two.

But, everyone is different.

I use my fob regularly in the winter. I’ll use the app once in a while.

As others have said, the fob is much quicker. That app is sooooo slow.

I use the fob, mainly in the winter. And being from the Buffalo area, that's about 11 months of the year.
