How do I remove the reverse bulb? It also appears that there's only one bulb to access? Any info? What I thought would've been a simple swap to brighter LED lights turned into a bit of a mess. So frustrated. Broke the clip so next is to try and find Ford replacement parts. Pretty sure light will not stay plugged in for long given damage to the clip (crushed with pliers trying to "unlock" the cap.

I know a different generation - but on my 2015 Expedition Limited, the tail lamp bulb SOCKETS were serviced separately and sold individually (no wiring harness or lamp assembly).

You may want to check with a dealer and see if the socket is serviced separately. You could get a new one, then remove damaged one (and look at the new one to see how it fits in the housing opening).

Good luck.

So I'm clearly an idiot; I thought that is the socket? Is there more to remove on that light assembly? Those two bolts in the pic? How do I get to A and B in the manual reference?

Open tailgate, remove rubber trim, remove the bolts and slide the light assembly out to get to the socket. twist and pull out the socket, remove and replace the bulb, plug the socket back in, slide the assembly into place, fasten with the 2 bolts. Make sure you use the proper led bulbs that are CANBUS Error Free or you could get an error and have to use FORScan to fix it.

No, you open the tailgate and can see the rubber pieces on each side. They just pull out, using a trim tool or popsicle type stick to get it to where you can get your fingers under it. Then remove the 2 nuts. It's actually really easy.
Remove tallight assemble for bulb replacement
Yes- The taillight housing needs to be removed to access the bulb. The video confirms what I said

I removed the housing from the vehicle. There are no bulbs. There is a wire harness connector that plugs into the piece I broke in the pic. That's it. No bulbs. Appears to be a sealed, integrated led tail light assembly. I'm calling dealer tomorrow to confirm.

Your Expedition is a 2024. It looks like the entire taillight assembly is LED, hence just the single connector (broken one). It already has LED backup light.
Sadly I think your going to have to replace the entire assembly for that broken connector.
