Hi, I have a question for everyone. I bought my neighbor’s 1st gen Expedition, and the spare tire is missing. Since I am planning on building it out to be an off-road adventure rig, and it is the definition of being a galloping gas hog, I was wondering if anyone knows of any reserve fuel tanks that would fit where the spare tire used to live? Mine currently does not have a spare tire, however, one of the first mods I am doing is putting a steel bumper on the rear with a spare tire carrier, so I have free space underneath to utilize for a reserve fuel tank. Has anyone done this mod and if so, what did you use, and what issues did you encounter in getting it to work that I might not have thought of yet?
