I just installed the 3" rough country lift on 2022 expedition (not a max) and it went from riding like a Cadillac to a super stiff, f350. The ride is horrible. Truck feels like its bouncing. Going over speed bump feels like truck is dropping off a cliff. Rear end wonders all over the place when going over any rough patches in the road. My wife wont even drive it because she said it rides to rough.
I purchased new 20" fuel rims and 295/60 r20 BFG KO3's to go with it. The tires are quiet and we love the rims.
The lift seems more than 3" .. I have 9.5 inches of clearance from top of tire to bottom of fender well even with the bigger tires.
Im going back in the shop monday to have the lift removed and stock suspension put back on with hopefully a 1.5 leveling spacer on the front and hope to keep the tires and rims. Not sure if they will fit but fingers crossed.
Hoping my post saves some of you thinking about lifting the expedition with the 3" rough country suspension lift some head ache. Looks good just wish it drove better.
Anyone know whats the biggest tire that can fit 2022 expedition with stock suspension and 1.5 leveling kit on front would be??
