I just installed the 3" rough country lift on 2022 expedition (not a max) and it went from riding like a Cadillac to a super stiff, f350. The ride is horrible. Truck feels like its bouncing. Going over speed bump feels like truck is dropping off a cliff. Rear end wonders all over the place when going over any rough patches in the road. My wife wont even drive it because she said it rides to rough.

I purchased new 20" fuel rims and 295/60 r20 BFG KO3's to go with it. The tires are quiet and we love the rims.

The lift seems more than 3" .. I have 9.5 inches of clearance from top of tire to bottom of fender well even with the bigger tires.

Im going back in the shop monday to have the lift removed and stock suspension put back on with hopefully a 1.5 leveling spacer on the front and hope to keep the tires and rims. Not sure if they will fit but fingers crossed.

Hoping my post saves some of you thinking about lifting the expedition with the 3" rough country suspension lift some head ache. Looks good just wish it drove better.

Anyone know whats the biggest tire that can fit 2022 expedition with stock suspension and 1.5 leveling kit on front would be??

W&T's look great! Once had the Rebel's when they first came out on a 4Runner my wife had.

Bummer on the lift. Not the first I've heard that the RC shocks ride like garbage almost exactly the way you describe. Seems like everyone keeps all the hardware from the kit - especially the rear links - and upgrades the shocks. Other alternative would be to get the Bilstein 5100 shock to save some hassle on removing everything.

As far as W&T put on stock suspension, I've seen people put on 35" Raptor W&T's with success and no lift, so there's definitely room to stuff.

Rough country is junk. Rancho is junk. Took the Rancho ones out of my 05 exp and just went with lift blocks with bilstein shocks. Much happier.

Removed RC lift and put a 2" leveling kit. Rides great. Reduced tire size to 295/55r20 KO3's from the 295/60r20 and fits without rubbing and rides smooth like it was all stock. Im posting this just to save some of you the hassle thinking about putting a rough country lift and trying to figure out tires sizes.

295/60 r20 rubbed on back of front wheels well when reversing out driveway with the leveling kit.

295/55 r20 does not rub at all with level kit.
