2000 Ford Expedition
I flushed all the switches in the doors with WD40 and then noticed that if I open the truck using the key pad, push the lock button on the door and then close the door the running board lights flash 8 times. Never say this before. Something tells me 8 times is significant. I had my replacement key fob go bad and I went in and tried to reset it by turning the ignition key to ACC 8 times and then you can hit the key fob button to reprogram the fob.
Is there something going on with this 8 flashing things that has to do with security?
Help me understand.
