Hi All,

I received this notice in April, Safety Recall 25S37 parts were to be available 2nd quarter 2025. I called again today and my Ford Dealer says parts are not available, that is an outright lie. I called the parts department and they have 2 master cylinders in stock but they are not allowed to do the service because Ford wont pay them to do it! WTF. I will never buy another Ford.

While I’m no longer a fan of Ford, there must be more to this story.

Have you tried another Ford dealer to have the safety recall repair done?

Odd, The new to us 17 had the recall and it was done without issue, it has a shiny new master cylinder on there. Maybe its a dealership issue?

When was it done? Mine had the recall done 2 years ago when it went in for the blower recall, but this is apparently a newer, second, recall, for the same issue.

I'm not sure looking at the service record they don't say specifically when it was done, but its been serviced at the dealer and the brake master is shiny white new. I just called and they said it does have the recall, so I'm not sure if it needs to be done again.

I believe there are two different ones One for the M Cyl and another for a brake line. Different years are involved is what I understood.

They need both the master cylinder and the brake booster. The failure fills the booster with brake fluid and ruins it.
They won’t start the repair unless all the parts are available.
My son’s failed before the recall and I did the repair myself. I was pretty impressed how much brake fluid was in the booster.
