My '22 Expy with tow package cancels the warning light on the sideview mirrors when I'm towing. Yes, I understand that Ford views it as a safety issue, but is there a way to get around it? I'd really like to have that extra warning if I'd like to switch to the passing lane.
Thanks

Do you have the trailer set up in the "Towing" tab on your dash? I know for my '21 that you have to have the trailer entered into this tab in order to make it work.

I have noticed this to be a nuisance that whenever I hook up a trailer the system deactivates. On my 2018, I had the old analog blind spot mirrors which I greatly appreciated and liked. I don't know why Ford couldn't at least equip the tow package with outside mirrors that could be BLIS and blind spot. I've noticed others have this like the Wagoneer.

Check this post that came up with a search. Hopefully it helps:

Haven't used on my 2024 yet, but, on the 2019, Blis worked with the trailier just fine. I had my TT configured as the "default trailer" when anything was plugged into the 7 pin and the Blis worked from way back based on the measurements taken/entered for that trailer. Pro trailer assist never worked great for me on that one, but, the measurements were used for Blis and that part worked well, I think! Only other thing I noticed was a swap to 6 blinks on the momentary signal for lane change vs 3 when nothing was connected.

Thanks for all the responses.

I have not set up the trailer measurements yet. I'm hoping that will do it.

My 2020 used to do trailer BLIS every time, then one day it decided to stop. I've reinput the measurements several times, but as soon as I hook up, it tells me BLIS is disabled.

I'll try the suggestion in @HILLY 's post.

As for Pro Trailer Backup Assist - it works flawlessly on our 33ft travel trailer. Between that, and the camera on the back of the trailer, I always manage to park the trailer at campsites first time, no redos, no yelling at the wife.

I don't use the backup assist for our boat, or other smaller trailers - much easier from decades of practice to do that manually - but the TT is a hog.
