I posted my first report in November of 2017 at 200,000 miles. I bought the vehicle with 85k on it in 2011.

Repairs since 2017: New plugs in 2018 at about 210,000. First time for me. Water hoses to AC from radiator (?): $500.

That's it. I still get 20 mpg if I keep it to 65 mph. The vehicle runs smooth and I like to think the Mobil 1 20/40 has something to do with it.

Prior to 2017 I only had to replace the water pump ($600), blower ($400) and one shock ($470) from 2015 to 2017.

So people who say 2007 is a bad year don't really know.

Most miles L.A. to NM or NM to Flagstaff/Durango

I have a 2010 Limited with 211,380 on it. I have changed the spark plugs twice. I just installed new water, new ac compressor at 190,000. New kyb shocks I think around 150,000, new upper and lower control arms, slip yoke and steering shaft at 200,000, . I have no complaints other than the front driver seat the plastic that seats around the bottom seat has cracked by the seat controls. I hear a small knock from the right side motor mount on hard stop and fast take offer's. This is a good truck and I use mobile 1 5w/30 every 7,500 miles and transmission drain and every 50,000 miles. I can get 20 mpg at 65-70 here in Southern California with my wife's 24 inch rims she wanted.

Funny how certain things go bad on certain cars. My '07 is really cracking on the side of the drivers seat like yours. It doesn't need a new cover so I think I will put a piece of black duct tape over it.

those prices seem a bit much, especially the one shock for 470$ ? unless you're paying labor for someone to do these things for you, then that would make sense ( but then I also encourage you to do your own work haha ).

Glad your expy is holding strong, keep being meticulous with it and it'll carry on through life with you. If something major happens with mine i'll probably get a crank motor and possibly new trans as well and have practically a new vehicle down the road.

Yes, your singular experience clearly proves that 2007 is an incredibly reliable model year that few people are going to have problems with.

Statistically, it is the least reliable of it's generation, but that doesn't mean they're all going to have problems.

Wow 252,000!!!! Big Red, as I call her has 171,000+ right now. I got her used with 106,000 on her. I'm very soon planning on changing the water pump while I'm changing/flushing the coolant and replacing the fan clutch. Just had the AC looked at and the fan clutch seem to be out. Other than that transmission fluids, brakes, spark plugs, oil changes, fan belt, rear shocks and tires are what I have done. I tried to do as much as can myself, provided I have the tools, know how (that why I get on the forum) and time. I don't want to buy another vehicle right now....I like not having a car payment! One thing I'm not getting 20 mpg, more like 18 at best, on the highway. So I may have to look into that. 252,000 That's great!
