SSM 51085 - 2022 Expedition/Navigator - Family Entertainment System Technical Support

Some 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a family entertainment system may experience system concerns. For assistance, contact the VOXX Customer Service Dept. at 1-866-869-7888. If possible, record the device serial number by selecting the gear icon from the home screen, then Settings, scroll to Device and Software, select About, then Your TV and the serial number will be shown on the right-hand side. If the unit will not power up, the serial number is on the label on the back of the monitor. It may also be beneficial to know the date the issue occurred, how long the monitors were on prior to the issue, what was being done (streaming video, high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI), what apps) and if the fundamental operating system (FOS) version was recently updated. For claiming, refer to the Warranty and Policy manual for Ford Licensed Accessories.

Special Service Message (SSM) informs Service operations on issues which have been recognized as developing in specific models, and it usually provides primary courses of action --what to do and often, what not to do -- toward resolving the issues.

SSMs are also used to inform the Service community when a solution to a recognized issue is being developed by Engineering and when it's expected to be delivered, often involving software corrections.

General Service Message (GSM) informs Service operations on actions which applicable to all models. I don't believe I've posted any GSMs here.

It's useful to be aware that the audience is Service managers, Service writers, and professional technicians.

In this SSM's case, I decided to post it because informed owners experiencing Family Entertainment Systems can then be prepared to provide the background information described as useful...
