Special Service Message 51464 - 2018-2019 Navigator - 10 Inch Center Display Screen Does Not Power Up After Replacement - APIM Software Update Required

Some 2018-2019 Navigators that require a 10 inch center display screen replacement may fail to power up. This may be due to accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software incompatibility with the new center display screen. To correct the condition, run the SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). The center display screen part number JL7T-18B955-UG or higher requires newer SYNC software to operate and power on. For claiming, use causal part number 18B955 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
