Please Contact Your Dealership." Message In The IPC When In Reverse With DTC B1578:89 Stored In The IPMA - Built On Or Before 30-May-2024
An intermittent black screen in the vehicle center display screen with a "Camera Is Unavailable. Please Contact Your Dealership." message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) when the vehicle is in reverse and DTC B1578:89 stored in the image processing module A (IPMA) may be present on some of the following Ford and Lincoln vehicles:
* 2024 F-150/F-Super Duty built on or before 08-Apr-2024
* 2024 Expedition/Navigator built on or before 07-Mar-2024
* 2024 Corsair built on or before 30-May-2024
* 2021-2024 Mustang Mach-E built on or before 20-May-2024
This may be due to the software in the IPMA. To correct the condition, reprogram the IPMA using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14G647 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
