Strut replacement

I changed my front and rear struts and coils with TRQ models and they absolutely suck, picture Uncle Bucks car bouncing down the street. My question is can I keep the springs and just replace the struts with KYB or Motorsport?

I don't know for sure, but I would doubt it. My guess is the spring seats and other hardware wouldn't swap onto a different strut.
