Bad torsion bar bushings. I’m honestly not sure what those are.

The “torsion bars” on a 1st gen are the springs that hold up the front end. They don’t have bushings.

The sway bar, which may be referred to as a “torsion bar”, does have bushings. But it’s uncommon to call the sway bar a “torsion bar”.

Can you give any more detail? A picture?
