It makes more sense now why the insurance paid so much. Glad it worked out.
Personally, I'm a firm believer in saving my own money instead of giving it to the Ins. company for extras. If mine was totaled today, I'd just pay the difference to replace it as needed and I'd move on knowing I've probably saved 3X that in ins premiums over a lifetime of not buying extra coverages. I've been very fortunate to file very few claims/accidents. Typically deer claims....
