You may already know this…your Expy has ABS brakes. Going downhill some folks will pump the brakes to avoid overheating the trailer brakes if your trailer is so equipped. With ABS systems just apply light steady brake pressure while towing on downhills. With the Tow/Haul system engaged the Expy will give it the additional engine braking it may need on downhills, reducing heat and wear on the trailer’s brakes. Pumping ABS brakes defeats the feature of ABS. I tow a 3500 lb trailer several thousand miles a year in mountainous terrain.
