I have a 2019 Expedition XLT Max 4x4 with heavy tow package.
When going on a trip with my trailer, I saw Trailer Wiring Fault 2-3 times upon hooking up and moving forward. I would drive it forward to a safe spot. During that time everything seemed to work ok (brakes). I would go and re-seat the 7 pin connector and restart the car and the message would be gone.
Anyone else have this happen?
I brought it in to the Ford dealership and they said they don’t have a trailer and that it was probably a problem with the trailer. I asked them to run diagnostics anyways and see if there are any issues.
I suspect they will say they do no see anything.
Am interested if others have seen this and have found ways to resolve it. Did it end up being a trailer wiring issue?
Thx!
