Transmission slipping/OD light blinking/Whining noise

I have a 2006 Expedition. There was a whining noise, then the OD light blinking and now the transmission is slipping bad.
Im just trying to find A place to begin looking for the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Any OBD codes showing? But it sounds like you may need a transmission overhaul. How many miles on the vehicle? Check the transmission fluid. Is it low? Is it dark or reddish color?

Scan it for codes. Multiple issues with those transmissions. If it slipping it’s prob too late. Overhaul it. Put in a shift correction kit at the same time. With the updated torque converter control valve. Locks up much faster with less slipping with a load. Mpg won’t change tho. Lol.
