2016 Ford Expedition EL Limited - 215,000 Miles.
I bought it at 130,000 miles been great so far. Found out after buying that the dealer put a new turbo in on the Drivers side, so I am thinking its the passenger side turbo maybe.
Things I have diagnosed myself and repaired from this awesome site.
All Plugs and Coils replaced at 135k
Throttle Body @170k
Lead Frame in transmission @188k
Fixing Auto up on window after replacing window regulator.
Wheel Bearing Drivers side - I think it needs to be replaced just started hearing humming.
So thank you in advanced for all the help.
It runs perfectly fine no rough idle or anything. I am getting a miss fire in a bank if I am on the gas hard at about 5500 RPMS it starts to loose power. It goes away when its not being driven like I stole it. It makes sense that I would need new coil and plug since I put about 80,000 miles on them. I don't think that issue has anything to do with the turbo.
I have attached a video, and you can hear the noise as I accelerate. I am not sure if this means the turbo could be failing or what that noise is. It definitely gets louder as I accelerate and the turbos spool up. I don't hear it when I drive it like my wife LOL. She is the one that drives it all the time and I was like you hear that and she said she has never heard it before.
Let me know your thoughts on what it is.
Okay so I just listened to a video of a confirmed exhaust manifold leak it sounds exactly the same, so I am thinking it is that. I have heard that you can just drive with it, and its not going to hurt anything is that correct?
Also, I am still posting because I am curious how do you know if a turbo is failing before it fails is there a way to tell.
