Everything @5280tunage just said. My 19 platinum is in the shop for seatbelt recall. They put me in a new 24 Expedition XLT and the ride is bumpy. My 5 & 7 year old kids even asked why it rode differently which surprised me they were that aware of the difference.

did they actually the parts for you or are they just checking the date codes? mine was in for 5.5 weeks for other stuff, they checked the date codes and they failed but they said ford wasn't releasing parts till the 28th.

Curious what the tire pressure on the loaners was. Dealerships sometimes overinflate the tires of vehicles that are sitting on the lot. Even on load E tires I feel as though my ride quality is reasonably comfortable. Between the four cars I had in the past year I never felt like the Expedition was any worse than the others.

They said they wouldn’t schedule me until they had parts if needed. It’s been 10 days since they’ve had it, inspected it on 9/16. Turns out they are waiting on one retractor for the passenger belt. It’s over at AutoNation in Littleton.

38 cold, 40 after driving. First thing I checked because I’m ocd. Ha! I have mine set at 40 cold.

A new truck is nice since it has a warranty and you know what you are getting. When these thing break it can be pricey. ymmv
100% agree! Brand new with warranty bare none! Our 2019 we bought new and thank goodness we had a warranty. Beast of a car but in the first 30kmi we’ve had 2 rear end rebuilds, new shocks at 15kmi, Cam Phasers, full transmission overhaul at 30kmi ($10k but under warranty), numerous interior parts broke/replaced. Btw the tranny issue caused 2 full power shutdowns at highway speeds with no control over the vehicle. In addition Y- Connect heater hoses cracked, not covered cost $1000 to replace at 50kmi.

I wouldn’t buy never but another expedition or Ford product but if I did, you want a warranty!

I'm not at that point yet. I'm really liking the 2024 Explorer ST that we bought a while ago. The ST does not have the litany of problems the Expeditions have. To the point that I'm leaning towards parting ways with our Expedition and going with the ST as our only vehicle. Sad that it has come to this but it has.

I went through the same thing twice. I'm the one responsible for the recall. My driver's side actually exploded.
