I bought one piece lug nuts from Driven Products, if I remember correctly they are a family business. Noticed they are on sale now.

After fighting to get my swollen nuts off last week, I came here to find this thread and placed an order for the Driven Products lug nuts. I received them quickly, but I'm a bit concerned about the installation. The old factory nuts are 1-3/4" deep, the new DP nuts are 1.5" deep. I reached out to DP for verification that I have the right parts and they confirmed the installation.

@Alwaysthinkin - you've had no issues with fit? Which wheels do you have on your ride? 302A, I'm presuming 22's?

Here's a comparison of the old vs. new nuts, the black lines are the difference in depth between the two (using my super scientific measuring device).

Thoughts?

Well, I measured the stud length and it was more than 1/4" shorter (how much shorter the ID of the new lug nuts) so I proceeded with the install. ~20 miles in and all is well so far. Heading on a road trip across I80 to Philly this weekend and taking my torque wrench with me!

@Overtow , I tried to access the Driven Products website but it is currently undergoing some changes. The visit did remind me though that they don't provide a place to "register" as opposed to being a "guest" so I'm unable to sign in and verify the product I received. However, the lug nuts I ordered were listed for a 2020 Ford Expedition (and yes, I have the 22" wheels) and they have worked perfectly for me!

Not sure of the inferiority you're seeing with the factory lug nuts but here's the ford part for your rig:

Not 100% sure about the newest Expeditions, but the ones on the third gen are 2-piece that are prone to swelling. All but a couple of mine swelled up and were a PITA to get off. I replaced them with 1-piece Gorilla nuts.

I hate the capped lug nuts, what a terrible idea, inferior absolutely , an impact wrench on and off destroys them rounding the corners, since 2012 I have changed my own oil and rotated tires every 5K, I started loosening by hand as the impact wrench destroys the caps
Absolutely, I purchased a used 2013 F-150 STX 4x4 (5.0L V8) and failed to realize when I purchased it that one of the lug caps was missing. Needless to say it took some heating and beating by a wheel repair shop to get that nut off the hub. What's worse when they got the nut off after drilling it out, the wheel was still seized up against the hub.
All I was trying to do was install new tires and I had to go through this ordeal b/c of the cheap 2-piece Ford Lug Nut fiasco that some bean counter dreamt up in 2000. What's worse was that the judge dismissed the case, when clearly Ford produced a defective and inferior product for consumers.

I ended up getting a replacement used OEM wheel and a Full Set of Gorilla lugs for all wheels, so that I never have to deal with Ford Lug nuts again.

We just purchased a used 2022 Expedition XLT, 2 months ago......so do I need to replace these lug nuts too?
I thought they had discontinued the 2-piece lug in 2015?

Redo the lugs! It's easy peace of mind.

On our 2024, I had a few swollen lugs (1 or 2 per tire) and the Expy was only about 7 months old from manufacture to the time I took the wheels off. I live in Northern California, so it hasn't seen excessive temperature/climate swings.
