When trailering (or if need be, just disable) , is there a way to turn off or disable the blind spot/cross traffic warning chime and dash message? I love my 2024 Expy Limited SPP but this d$#@!? thing beeps and chimes for everything. I trailer a good bit and this warning seems to literally fire off every few minutes!!

Here is Grok's (AI) answer to your problem,
tells you how to turn off and a few suggestions on a long term fix.

Why it keeps chiming

Two common causes when you’re towing:

1. The system sees the trailer (or the hitch) as a constant “object” in the blind-spot / cross-traffic zone.

2. On many 2022–2024 Expeditions the hollow trailer-hitch tube itself reflects the BLIS radar and triggers false alerts even with nothing behind you. Ford issued TSB 24-2329 for this (foil-tape patches on the hitch-bar ends).

Fastest way to silence it

On the 15-inch screen (most Limiteds):

1. Vehicle drawer → Settings → Driver Assistance

2. Turn Blind Spot Information System Off

3. Turn Cross Traffic Alert Off

On the 12-inch screen:

Features → Driver Assistance → same two toggles.

Notes:

• BLIS remembers the last setting across key cycles.

• Cross Traffic Alert turns itself back on every time you start the truck, so you’ll have to flip it off again (or just leave it off while you’re in trailer season).

• You can also kill rear parking sensors the same way; they often false-alert on the trailer too.

Better long-term options

• Set up the trailer properly in the Towing app / trailer-profile menu (length and width). If the trailer is a conventional bumper-pull under ~33 ft long and ~9 ft wide, BLIS with Trailer Coverage is supposed to extend the detection zone instead of screaming. If you skip setup or the trailer is too big, the system just shuts itself off and throws messages.

• Have the dealer apply the TSB 24-2329 foil-tape fix on the hitch-receiver ends. That stops a lot of the random “sensor blocked / object detected” chimes even when you’re not towing.

• Aftermarket hitch or no factory tow module: Ford’s own manual says switch BLIS/CTA off while the trailer is attached.

That’s the complete picture from the owner’s manual plus the current TSBs. Most people who trailer a lot just leave both systems off and use the mirrors.
