While replacing the brake master cylinder today I found a vaccum line disconnected and connect seem to find where it goes. It T's off of another line that runs from under the firewall to under the air cleaner and under the master cylinder. The one that's disconnected comes straight up and has a 90 degree at the end. Anyone got an idea? 2003 5.4L Thanks

Is it a 4x4 model ? Without pictures it's hard to say for sure. But on the 4x4 models there's a axle vent line that comes up and secures to one of the steel brakelines coming off the master cylinder. It's just an open vent line.

That's it exactly!! Wow, nice pull MrSticker! So it's just a vent line? But it looks like it just broke off of something. Wow, how irritating.

The axle vent actually comes with a loose fitting plastic cap that gets brittle and falls off after time. I just grabbed a silicone cap, vented it, and cover the end.
