Hey all! I am seeing that it’s between 4D Tech and Auto Start Stop Eliminator. Both are similar price but I want to know if there’s any real difference between the two and is quality then same? Also, does it throw any silent codes that you can see in forscan?

I have 4D Tech for a year so far. The connector became loose for two times in the first 3 to 4 months after installation, although I didn't feel any loose on the connector when I checked it. It has been good since I reconnected it the second time. You would see your AC or seat heating/cooling feature behaves weirdly if it is loose. And yes, it did create lots of codes in Forscan. Anyway, all you need to do is unplug it and then re-connect. It took me less than 1 minute to fix.

I have had auto start stop eliminator for 4 years now and have never had a single problem with it.
This has been my experience, no issues at all. The in car screen has even acknowledged the auto start stop is in place and working at times when I first start the expy.

I have one from 4dtech and it works great. It has a glitch but the support folks got me a workaround and an RMA if it keeps happening (all doors unlocking when shifting into park). Stupid easy to install. I zip-tied the extra cable length up to some other stuff under the dash so it's not flopping around. Pretty pleased with it overall.

I’m not a fan of it causing a ton of codes. Was that only when it was loose or still throws codes after clearing and connection is good.

What was the workaround that stopped the doors from unlocking?
