What? The aftermarket parts might be warranted by whatever company I purchase them from but not the OEM. The engine could be covered if the part is completely unrelated to the problem.
I have tried to cut and paste but it won’t let me. What Im talking about is that MM does not protect you from Ford (for instance) denying a claim because you installed a component does not meet the form, fit and function of an OEM part you are replacing.

Examples could cover a lot of ground, but lets say you install an oil filter that is not designed to handle the oil flow of your engine. Or lets say you add something that is designed to alter how the transmission shifts, or maybe add 30 horsepower to the engine. Ford has the right to deny a claim. Yes, we could get into a ******* match over whether those are related to what fails. My only point is that MM is not designed to protect you from Ford denying a claim for installing something that alters the vehicle functionally.

What you’re saying is exactly why the MM law was made. Ford could say any aftermarket doesn’t fit form, fit or function of original part. Again, what your examples are if the part caused the problem they can deny the problem I agree on that, and the point I am trying to make. Example here, if this guy installs an intercooler, Ford can’t deny a turbo seal for example.

So I should edit this post title to something like, Debating the Ta and CS of the Magnuson Moss Act? Lol. Yeah, not a concern for me until it is but appreciate the passion everyone brings to the post. Probably won't do anything for a good while yet but wanted to get some thoughts. Thank you.

Sorry guess we all got sidetracked. Tried to answer your questions as well. Any other questions you had?
