Getting ready to buy a 2017 Limited....my previous Ford was a 2003 F-150 with the 5.4 triton. When I sold it, it had 280,000 miles on it, and drove like a new engine. So I'm a big fan of the V8's, and am a little curious how the Eco Boosts have faired so far. Thanks in advance for any insight.

You'd be better off visiting the F150 forum if youre inquiring about high mileage reliability, simply because the ecoboost has been around in the trucks since 2009.

I have a F-150 XLT with the V-8. I tow my hunting trailer with it and it was a lot better than my 2006 F-150 XLT with the small V-8. My 2017 Ford Expedition Limited has the ecoboost v-6. I'm impressed so far with the power and the mileage. I don't plan to haul with the Expedition but can if need be.

Agree with 07xln as ecoboost has been in F-150 since 2011, it's only been here in the expys since 2015. They are a pretty reliable platform. I prefer the bigger displacement motors but you have to give them credit they are good powertrains.

Ford has sold over a million 3.5L EcoBoost engines and there are many of them out there with well over 100,000 miles on them. I would say you have nothing to worry about. I'm loving mine but I only have 6600 miles on mine. :)

I have 75,000 miles on my 2015. Just changed the spark plugs today for the first time cause I’ve had a miss and rough idle. Fixed it. No other problems so far. I’ve only owned it for less than a year tho
