Why would these wheels be a "bad fit?"

You're entitled to your opinion.

Im sure that a wheel with the exact same specs fits, but it makes you think there's something I don't know about the wheel I chose when the dealer said that.

Im confident going from a 22 to 24 won't be too much worse. If it's that bad I'll just use the massaging seats to alleviate the pain lol.
Offset is probably what is going to get you

I find it odd that the retailer would communicate your vehicle make/model to his supplier, and that a supplier would scrutinize his customers order.

When I order anything from my suppliers, I tell them I want part #xxxx, quantity XX, purchase order XXXX, shipping details and thats about the length of the discussion. The burden is on me to ensure I ordered whatever correctly.

Likewise when my customers order from me, they specify part # xxxx, quantity XX, purchase order xx, ship here. The burden is on them to order from me correctly.

Not saying bait & switch but the vagueness of "bad fit" and eagerness to have you pick something else.... maybe try another Niche dealer. If Niche bawks twice, well there you go.

I think the wheels will look great. 10 wide would be my only concern. What size tire did you have in mind?

Yeah that was kind of weird to me too. Gave me a weird feeling about the whole thing.

The tires were 305/35/24 toyo proxes s/t.

Im going to call them in a minute and see what I can figure out.

I am curious as well, as I was looking at these wheels, but possibly in the 20" black version.

Little update, I finally got ahold of the sales guy at the shop and he called their supplier while I was on the phone.

They said the only issue was the rear axle shafts sticking out and interfering with the rear center caps.

I told him that was no big deal so he pushed the order through. I guess we'll see if they fit. lol

Another forum member had a similar issue when using some Raptor wheels. See post #1 for his fix and some pics.

Good luck!

My last car was an 2011 edge sport that came from the factory with 22's and while the handling was great every imperfections in the road you felt. But on a truck like this it would have more sidewall . Still, I've gotta say 16 makes good points. Sometimes the truth is best served up cold

Just incase anyone was curious about the outcome, the wheels came today.

They fit great with the 305/35/24's with no rubbing even at full lock.

Did you have to cut any off the rear axles?

Yep just to the very first thread, so basically just the smooth part.

Took around a minute with the angle grinder and a cutoff disc

Pic from the internet for reference:
