Does my 2024 Expedition with Synch4 support wired CarPlay???

Sure does. That’s how I use it in mine. Wired = CarPlay, not wired just my regular phone. I use CarPlay on long trips, so the phone needs charging too. On short trips I don’t care if I have 10mins of CarPlay or not and just use sync4a to connect to my phone.

Android guy here... I've found the wired to be more robust on my '24, I just plug in ahead of hitting the start button. I've had a few instances where wireless disconnected and wouldn't reconnect/stopped using it and just went back to the good ol cable - works great in all use senarios for me.

Thanks for the responses. I'm now enjoying netflix and live TV on my trips using Ottocast.
