I have a 2016 Expedition EL with the 3.5l. We are having trouble with the air blowing cold and the coolant fans blowing high constantly. If the temperature outside is under 80 degrees we get cold air but as soon as it hits 82 or 83 it will not blow cold, just barely cool. If I turn the air completely off, the cooling fans run normal. Does anyone have an idea on what this could be? We are taking a trip to Florida soon and would love to get it fixed before we go without having to take it to a dealer and be charged an arm and a leg. Thanks in advance!

Have a shop check the refrigerant levels in the systems. Does the A/C Compressor turn on when it's above 80 degrees?
The fans will come on high @high ambient temp because it wants to keep air flowing through the condenser when the car is stopped or at low speeds.
It is normal during hot days.

You don't have to take it to a dealer, a normal A/C Shop will do.
