Yes absolutely, the timing chain tensioners use oil pressure to adjust the chain. Of course the entire valve train is also lubricated by the oil and you were 50% low. At higher rpm their may not have been enough oil for the pump to pick up. Glad to hear it sounds like a fairly easy fix...- whtbronco

Yeah seems like when both sensors appear to have failed at the same time on the 5.4L 3V it's most often time to do a timing job. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in here, but I wonder if FORScan can display timing in real time while your driving? I know it will display...- whtbronco

Upgrading wheel hubs?
I'm not sure you'll find anyone that has tried this. Aside from your predicament I can't see a reason why you'd go through the effort quite frankly. You have wheel bearing hub assemblies in the front, but you have axle shafts in the rear. I suggest you'll have to change the rear axle shafts...- whtbronco

Yes. For the water pump look for a chalky white line from coolant dripping from the weep hole and running down the front of the block. If it's really bad you be able to grab the fan clutch shaft and move it other than just rotation. Thermostat, if it heats up and then doesn't stabilize, but...- whtbronco

2005 Ford Expedition Electric Issues
I suggest if you have a sunroof the front right drain is leaking. That drain runs down the A pillar. You can open the sunroof and look into the corners to see the ~3/16" drains. Suspension Upgrade - No Air Ride :(
The only thing I know of is the Rancho Quicklift struts. They are 9 way adjustable. I replaced the air suspension on my 2004 with these. I've replaced my water pump 3 or 4 times now and never had coolant on the ground. It just sort of burns off or blows away. Unfortunately there is a myriad of tools that might be needed. With the age it could be a hose, the radiator, intake manifold, the water pump, heater core, if you have auxiliary rear HVAC it could be leaking back there. Anyone install a rooftop cargo carrier to the roof using the mounting holes from the OEM roof rack system? I’m sure it would be a custom build….
I've not heard or seen anyone that did this. I do agree the factory crossbars leave a bit to be desired. Mine have spent most of their 20yr life in the attic, in fact used only twice. If you remove the factory roof rack rails make sure you seal up the holes and I would consider a sealant on...- whtbronco

The front main seal and harmonic damper have been replaced. The seal appears to have resolved the oil leak.
