Just wanted to check in here. Have came across some useful info here in the past & finally decided to join. Like I really needed another forum account to keep up with haha.

Anyway just purchased an '06 xlt to replace my '97 EB that I just lost an engine in... Have had the newer one about 2 weeks & the mods have begun. Installed an in dash DVD player a couple days ago. Sub, box & amp waiting to be installed. Painted part of the faded lower plastic trim, still gotta finish the bumpers & other side. And picked up some new Harley edition f150 22's for it yesterday.

Here's how she looks now...

Found the wheels at a local rim shop that had taken them in on a trade. Got a pretty good deal on em.

Put a 1000w RMS Soundstream amp with a Skar Audio VVX 12" sub. Wasn't really looking to go that level with a sub setup, but glad I did now. Box is a tad smaller than recommended, but it sounds pretty good.

Sub only takes up space on top of the narrow side of 3rd row seat.

Gonna trim the little storage piece that drops in where the amp is. Gonna make a vented cover for the amp using some speaker mesh cloth.
