Hit and run driver

We were lucky to escape unharmed. The damage looks minimal, one wild ride ensued after the impact though.

Driver ran off and I chased him on foot for about 1.5 miles through a few back yards but he got away. (Insert Danny Glover: I'm too old for this shit) Ran about 3/4 miles on a seriously rough paved road. Barefoot. My feet are on ice as I type this.

My daughter was sitting up front, 8 feet from impact. 5 mph slower? Her side missed the other vehicle and the pole at the other end of the ditch. Thanks buddy.

This possibly made my mind up on trading it on a Mustang Mach or Cobra. We'll see what happens.

Its funny though that the expo took a beating, but it still looks driveable. the chevy though...wow...talk about totaled lol

It may be a little good that you didn't catch him, because if it was me I woulda been going pretty ******* on him. Which I might regret later.

Good to here your alright. So what exactly happened? Because it looks like the chev took a whoppin and that expy held up pretty good =]. Is that you that went off the road?

I had a pretty close run in yesturday to, but not in my expy. My moms new car, acadia, with 500k on it. I had an advance green and my direction had two left hand turn lanes. I was in the outside lane. I make the turn and some dude in the OPPOSITE direction (one at 90 degrees to my original direction before turning) starts to go and my buddy warned me at the last secound and I thought I was done. It wasn't fast or anything, but the front would of been writen off, his side done, a new car toast, and even though its not my fault my insurance would probably go up. I was pretty shaken.

That woulda been the second maxima, I think I have a subconscious hate for them.

That Chevy is toast. I drove off, no problem.

That was me that went through the ditch on 2 or 3 wheels it felt like. It was slo-mo action around the mailbox and back up to the road sideways. I remember thinking ****, I'm gonna roll over. Thankfully I stayed in it and it slid rather than dug in.

I found styrofoam in the end of my hitch today, presumably from his bumper innards.

i hope you take him to court and get a nice chunk of change for everything you and your daughter went through. that a$$hole deserves what he gets

Thanks -but it's unlikely. While not LA, gangs and illegals run around that part of town.

I did get in touch with the cop tonite who took the report this morning as stolen. He said the actual owner tried to pick up the vehicle. LOL. He said theres more to the story, it's trivial anyway. My truck will be fixed either way.

Wow, I woulda bet an expedition woulda flipped if I just saw the skids. These things roll alot but still seem to keep their cool under extreme turns. Usually. lol

Although whenever I see my truck total another car and barely get damaged I get a small sense of pride. lol
