07 Expedition 2WD Trans

Truck has about 2K miles on it and just started not shifting into the top gear (6th). Tried toggling OD on and off, but no effect. Has anyone else encountered this with the 5.4 L engine and six speed transmission and what was the cause?

I have an appointment with a dealer in a few weeks, but curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Otherwise, the truck has been perfect.

Could be a bad shift solonoid..... who knows. At least it is under warranty....

Set the cruise control and run 65mph on the highway. Should be about 1800rpm in 6th gear if you have the 3.73 axle. Ours shifts so smoothly it's hard to count the shifts sometimes.

Just did the 15,000 mile service on ours. Picked her up in late January!
