I am installing a Magnaflow catback part # 15755. Box says 2003, but I think they are the same. I am having a hell of time getting the intermediate pipe over the rear axle. If you have installed one, are the any tricks to get the pipe over. I have it on stands about 3' off the ground. Do I need to find a lift and come at it that way straight up. Any help would be great. This is my 3rd Magnaflow kit(Mustang GT, F150), and I have never had a problem. Please Help!!

I do believe 05 was the start of the 3v heads on the expedition, 03 may look the same (though stand taller) but there's really a world of difference between the 03,04 models and the 05,06 ones. I'm just assuming you're putting it on an 05 seeing how.. well that's your screen name and all :p

If you can get it to fit then damn, I guess there's a few more options out there even for us 2v guys. Seeing how the body is the same and all I wouldn't necessarily Doubt that it will fit. Its just that Ford did like to make things difficult with all the New generations all starting at different model years and having, I believe, 7 different engines all going at once between the F-150, Expedition and Explorer.

If you go to Magnaflow's site, they list the same part # for 03,04,05,06. 15755. I have even called 3 different vendors, and it's the same number. I don't think it has anything to do with the 3v or 2v. I am guessing it's just a tight fit. I will figure out a way.. Might have to cut the pipe and put a coupler on it.. I won't give up...

Jack up the side the you want the exhaust to go over? That way the axle will go down, since it's IRS, right? Or am I not undering standing how this goes?

you got to jack up the body and let the r.rear tire hang down so the cv shaft(axle) will drop down and let u side it over it.

What Is the stock muffler's inlet size? the company that did my cherry bomb glass pack replacement threw my old one away! (or recycled it or something but I'm not really complaining) I'm just curious about the size to see how much possible flow I should have if i were to port my heads.

stock size was 2.5". I replaced mine with custom bent 3" single exit and picked up the same magnaflow used in the catback kit. Total cost $275 installed. Its a pretty quiet system and my mpg did increase slightly.

How did you get it? I may need to know one day...lol In the past I've had to remove the shock absorber and pull that side of the axle down a few more inches.
