My front air is making rumbling noises after I turn it to 2. It gets louder at each number. It's blowing air fine, its just loud.

does anybody know how I get to the fan. sounds like something might be in the fan because sometimes it sounds like putting a baseball card on your bike spokes. I can tell the blade is ticking something. Not sure how to get in there. Pics would be great. 2003 Expy

So you want to remove the blower motor to see if it is making the sound?

I'm trying to see if the cage the fan is in is loose or if there is something stuck in there. It blowing fine, but the higher the power the louder it gets and you can sometimes hear like the fan blades are hitting something.

do you know how to get to it.

The blower motor is the fan. If you take it out, put power to it, and it make no noise, then you know the sound is coming from the ducting. If you take it out, and it makes noise, then it's the blower motor. Not sure how easy it is to take apart the actual assembly, once it is out, but here are the instructions for removal.

As always, I'm not responsible if you break something.

I had the same problem there was a bag in the max air intake
which is under glove box ,
if you swich from normal a/c to max .you can hear the air change from outside to inside
look under the dash and follow your ears
