1. If the trans operates normally otherwise, I'd wait for the weather to warm up and see if the condition persists.
2. I never shifted my 4WD Expys into 4WD unless I was stopped or moving slowly and then only into 4A. Check the Owner's Manual, it'll tell you what you can and can't do.
I don't check into this forum much anymore since I replaced my hail-totaled Expy with an AWD Edge, but I'm glad that I did today. There's lots of good folks here with tons of experience that are happy to share, I'm glad to see this is all still going on!
Check the owner’s manual for the location of the fuses and the diagram for which fuse is responsible for the pump(s). If the problem turns out to be the pump itself, I may have an extra depending on the specific part number needed.

Every time I've done a Sync update it takes forever and there's very little in the way of screen info to tell you exactly what's going on. I may try the CyanLabs thing next time the issue comes around for me.
